iPads Introduced to Grade 5

On Monday, October 3, Mr. Evans (ICT Coordinator) and Mr. Finley (ICT Student Teacher) gave each of the the students in Grade 5 an iPad2 to be used as an educational tool in the classroom and at home. The iPads for this pilot program were purchased by the Friends of Ambrit.
 

The first few days involved setting up our email accounts and becoming familiar with some of the many applications that are installed on the iPads. (Angry Birds is a favorite game!)

 

 
On the very first day the class used the iPads to make movies
of classmates testing their balloon powered cars.
